The Principals
The Principals TTS business partners, Avis Lilly and Emma Briggs between them bring a broad range of skills and experiences to the academy.
Avis founded The Talent Stop, after a career working extensively in professional theatre, TV and radio. She has sung, danced, acted and choreographed nationally, in London's West End and also abroad. Her favourite theatre credits include: Abigail in The Crucible and Blanche in A Street Car Named Desire and for TV : Casualty, Dalziel & Pascoe, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries...Avis is passionate about inspiring others to dance.
Emma trained at Millennium Performing Arts school professionally for 3 years, she performed in music videos and other productions, but felt her passion lied with teaching. Emma then began agency work in various locations and soon after joined The Talent Stop. After a successful year of working for the Company she was honoured to join Avis Lilly working as a partner for the school! Emma is very passionate about the school and feels she will bring fresh and interesting ideas in all aspects of Performing Arts, to make The Talent Stop a fun and successful school to be part of!
Our Teachers
At The Talent Stop we ensure every member of staff holds Enhanced CRB Clearance and is First Aid trained. We pride ourselves on the quality of our teaching staff, their primary concern is to unlock the creativity within our students, exploring all avenues of the Performing Arts.
Our classes are varied, thorough and progressive with each one designed to inspire, entertain and educate within a disciplined environment. It's natural for us to implement the same discipline in class as we do in the professional theatre.
The Talent Stop Teachers - For Hire!
Teachers are available to run afterschool and before school clubs, as well as sessions in school-time covering all necessary elements of the National Curriculum for Dance. We run music and dance sessions in nurseries, pre-End-of-Term Ball lessons, production and choreography advice for shows both big and small, PPA cover, team-building events for corporate clients, basically tailoring any sessions to suit your individual needs.
And, we can do all of this in a diverse range of subjects including, all styles of dance from HipHop'n'Street to Ballet, Tap, Line-Dance, Salsa, Latin, Cheerleading and Ballroom as well as Singing, Acting, TV Presenting, Stage Fighting, Magic, Mime, Modelling, Film Production and Circus Skills.
Recent clients of ours include British Red Cross, Bracknell Forest Council, Sainsbury's Active Kids, Wokingham District Council, Girl Guides Association as well as lots of schools, nurseries and special needs colleges.
