The Principal
Founder and Principal of The Talent Stop, Avis Lilly has trained in and experienced nearly all aspects of media and entertainment herself, bringing a broad range of skills and realistic expectations to the academy.

Her work has seen her singing and dancing in musicals both here and abroad. She has acted in BBC TV shows as well as in London stage plays and has even been a radio presenter for Berkshire and North Hampshire's 2-TEN FM.

Our Teachers

At The Talent Stop we operate a Child Protection Policy, so as you would expect, we ensure every member of staff holds Enhanced CRB Clearance. We have at least two members of staff on hand for every class and are never without a qualified First Aider on site.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our teaching staff, their primary concern is to unlock the creativity within our students, exploring all avenues of the Performing Arts.

Our classes are varied, thorough and progressive with each one designed to inspire, entertain and educate within a disciplined environment. It's natural for us to implement the same, firm discipline in class as we do in the professional theatre.

The students get to work with a number of different teachers, who have wide experience, unique styles and most of whom have been, or who still are, working in theatre, TV, film or radio themselves. They all possess a passion or natural gift to pass on their skills to other performers.

We are also able to take our classes out to schools, clubs, companies etc. offering a multitude of subjects. These include, Singing, Acting, TV Presenting, Stage Fighting, Magic, Mime, Modelling, Film Production, Circus Skills, Circuit Fitness, Aerobics and several styles of dance including HipHop'n'Street, Ballet, Modern-Jazz, Rock'n'Roll, Salsa, Tap, Lyrical, Line Dance, Ballroom (Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango) and Latin (Samba, ChaChaCha, Rumba, Jive). 

We can provide one-off workshops, short courses, production rehearsals or PPA cover, tayloring the session to suit your individual needs. Recent clients who've used us for these activities include British Red Cross, Bracknell Forest Council, Sainsbury's Active Kids, Wokingham District Council, Girl Guides Association as well as lots of schools, nurseries and special needs colleges.
